Serious question: do you pose for self-portraits?

Sort of. I pose for the parts that I don’t think I know how to draw. I’ll hold a hand or arm or a leg or an eyebrow in particular position in front of a mirror if I can’t visualize it. Mostly though I sketch self portraits from my mind’s eye just as I do all my other illustrations.
