Spring 1904 – The Ghosts of Stone and Ice

 

Jimmy Red Deer said, “Once there were no men here. Once there was nothing but ice. There were spirits that lived on the ice and thrived in the cold. They did not all leave when the thaw came. Some of them stayed and expected the long snows to return. I think their patience is finally wearing out.”
