Summer 1906 – The Adventure of the Prideful Progeny

“My father performed miracles, feats of medicine and science that the professors at Harvard and Oxford could not begin to imagine!” Janik Wolf slammed his cup down on the table. “I’ll not have you slander his name in my house!”

I set down my silverware and patted my mouth with the linen napkin. I said, “I never met your father. I did meet one of his creations. Just as I have met some of yours. I have met many of the Prometheus Sodality’s experiments in creating life. I will not argue in regards to their status as miracles. I can argue that your father’s creation was dangerous and had been destructive. As are your creations. I have no complaint with your science. I do object to your arrogance and shortsightedness.”
