Jack looked cheerfully at the expanse of unbroken snow. “Tracking a beast that leaves no footprints will be a challenge. Do your eyes spy signs mine miss?”

I shook my head. I said, “No. The doctor said that it ran in this direction but I see no evidence that anything as passed this way since yesterday.” 

Jack said, “Ginnie and Quint can take out the airship. Perhaps they will be able catch a glimpse if they have a wider view.”
