Summer 1980 – No Choice But Unity

The creature spoke with a strange chorus. Its words did not come out in harmony. They were not simultaneous. One mouth would begin speaking and the others would follow in quick succession. Another mouth would begin speaking faster or slower and the others would compensate. Sometimes one mouth would use a synonym different from the word spoken by the others. It was rather like hearing a speech recorded by three different speakers played in tandem. It seemed that the creature did not share thoughts between each head. Each head was simply so familiar with the way the other thought that it could anticipate what would be next be said.
