Yoshitoshi Abe doesn't use rulers in any of his works and does some very lovely buildings, and I love Tsutomu Nihei's inks (also he's a professional architect). I love the organic sloops in the brick railings in the background. It looks almost like monstrous scales. Also dig bricks.
